	2007.07.20  21.52 ugh ugh ugh Summer is going way too fast, and I've barely been doing anything, which is getting kind of depressing. I actually like work, but bahh. I feel like I have no life. I guess I've been doing more than I realize, but obviously when people are going out to huge parties or whatever, that's not my thing. I dunno. It's weird having Tessa and Danny not here given that the two of them and Gail are generally the people I spend the most time with, but Tessa's coming home soon, which seems like it went really fast. And Danny, I dunno. Emailing him all the time almost makes it weirder because it's kind of like he's here but I can't see him. Hmm, it's hard to explain how my thoughts work haha. Ugh. I hate being jealous because it makes me feel really stupid, and I know I don't have to worry about him doing anything with other girls or whatever, but it's weird to read about him having fun and going to parties or whatever he does with the students who are out there. mehhh. On a better note: HARRY POTTER tonight wheeeeeeeee I'm started to get hyper. I have work at 12 tomorrow, so I figure I can read till like...6. Then I'll get a reasonable amount of sleep. ha. like I'll stay up past 2. I can always bring it to work tomorrow. AND Camp visit a week from tomorrow!!! soooo excited. So those two things are kind of keeping me excited, and I guess after camp visit I can look forward to Danny coming home, but that's still 3 weeks later. But god that makes it sound so close. 	2007.05.21  20.06 What to do Uhmm. Danny's uncle died today. He got called during school and found out. I don't really know what to do. I told him to call if he wanted to talk or whatever, but he hasn't. Which is ok. I just want to know how he is. But maybe I'll see him tomorrow. It's such a weird situation and I have no idea how to handle it. I guess I can't really do anything unless he decides he wants to talk or something. It's hard not doing anything though. Anyway, Knoxville is in 2 days. I'm excited, I guess. I was really excited, but now I'm not really sure what's going to happen, like if the whole team will actually end up going or if Danny will stay home or what...I wonder if we'll go at all. I guess I'll find out soon. I feel stupid wondering about it, though, like is it stupid to think about our DI competition when this is going on? 	2007.04.22  14.04 Sadness I was reading the SMA guestbook and I found this: "Hi, Pam, Biff, and the entire SMA family. I'm a long-ago camper, must've been 1992 or thereabouts? My paper plate award my first blissful summer at SMA was the "Not the Princess" award. I remember Mike the N (and Ryan the N, who was a camper with me), and Ro and Pam teaching me so much about riding, and Susan and Lara being silly and doing arts and crafts, and Freezewood Lake and Brown Bag Theater. I remember Lance (the Riddler) with his bike, and riding The Comet over and over at Hershey Park, and singing "Row raft, row raft, row raft like a raft rat can!" while floating down the Youghigheny River. I remember sitting on Trouble Rock with my dearest friends in the world, being totally comfortable in my own skin. I'm more than a decade older now, with a master's degree, a home of my own, and a husband. My friends with kids are asking for advice on where to send them to camp, and I found you on the internet and just wanted to say hi. I remember you. I always will. SMA summers can't be beat." I miss camp, and even though I hardly know about any of the things she mentioned, it still makes me incredibly sad. But happy at the same time. I'll be visiting. 	2007.04.06  21.19 Aggh real life? Um it's been a while. Formal was lots of fun, but it was one of those things where there's a lot of buildup and then it's not quite what you expected. But still good. DI was also good...we only got 2nd! General consensus: we should have won. But who really cares? Well, we do. But still. We're going to states where we will have another chance to prove ourselves and do better and all that good stuff. I'm really happy that we pulled it all together so quickly since we were absolutely awful up until a couple weeks before regionals. I think it's good that we can all work together so well and know each other so well. Otherwise we clearly wouldn't be as good. Hmm, I'm in a very wordy mood but I really don't have much to say. This past week has been college visits. We started out Monday with Swarthmore and Penn. I really liked Swarthmore a lot, which I wasn't exactly expecting. I know it's a small school comparatively, but coming from Dobbs, anything seems big. 1500 is a lot more than 350, even if it is college. Anyway, the campus was pretty and everyone was really nice and...I don't know. I like their whole vibe. It kind of reminds me of camp, to be honest. Penn was kind of ruined because the guy at the info session was really obnoxious and snobby. Plus he was head of admissions. The campus is nice though, being right in the city but still having a pretty campus. I don't know. Maybe I'll have to go back another time. Tuesday I was at home and did nothing, which was actually a really nice break. It was the only time this vacation besides right now that I got to not do anything. Seeing BU was alright...I was mostly going to see Caitlin, but I went on the tour anyway. The weather was awful, but it was still cool to see someplace big and different from the other places I went. Hanging out with Caitlin, Danny and Martin was really fun too. I think hanging out around the dorms was helpful cause I got a better feel of what school is like than from tours and info sessions and blah blah. Thursday was Tufts...wow I did a lot. Anyway, I really liked Tufts too. I think Tufts and Swarthmore were my favorites. I was at the dining hall with my dad and Susie Petlick came up to me and was like, "Hey so since you're here why don't you come see my dorm and go to class with me?" So I decided to do that even though I was afraid it would be really awkward since I only knew her from tennis, but she was actually really nice and the class I went to was pretty interesting. The info session was semi-different from all the other ones, so I guess that was good, but it was still pretty boring. I think my dad wants to go to Tufts. Today we went to Brown. Providence is cool and the campus is beautiful, but by today I was so burned out that I wasn't really into visiting. Maybe I'll go back another time. The tour was too many people and the class I wanted to go to was canceled, and by the time the info session was over I was way too sick of visiting schools. So we went home instead of going on the science tour. I'm sure everyone was really interested in that haha. I just feel like writing a lot for no real reason. It's so weird to think that I'm starting the whole college process at the same time that the seniors are ending it. It makes a year seem like such a big difference. I still have trouble seeing myself actually in college. I guess that's why I have another year and a half to do that. I was supposed to have dinner with Danny tonight but it got late and I was too tired to be any fun. So there's always tomorrow. I have no driver's ed for the next two weeks. That's nice. And tennis is ending in a few weeks...also nice. Okay okay. I'm done now. Mood: tired

But I'm so stressed with school that it's impossible to be totally happy. And from now until the end of the year it's pretty much not going to get any better. Maybe after the IB tests...maybe. But otherwise, I'm quite happy. Very. So that's good. I'm just annoyed that all this dumb schoolwork gets in the way. I seriously expect college to be easy after the IB curriculum. 	2007.01.06  14.42 Ugghhh Sosososo much to do...working all weekend. NO STOPPING! Except for tennis. And the fact that I'm not working right now, but it's the thought that counts or something. My application for France is sent in (yay!) and my history project is done, so that's two things over with. Next week = hell and I'll be glad when it's over...plus next weekend is SKI TRIP (I think...I hope...can you go on a ski trip with no snow?) and Hillary!! So it'll be good. Midterms in two weeks but I have too much to do right now to worry about that, so whatever. Oh and happy new year! (late) P.S. FINALLY SAW SoaP!!!!! P.P.S. 	2006.12.26  22.39 Vacation? Hmm...I was really stressed out when we first got here because I thought I had so much work to do, but I really don't. I'm almost done with the essays for my AFS application and after that it's really just filling out forms. I found out they might not even do the France program this summer, though, so if that doesn't happen I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. Anyway, so yeah I've got a couple more things to do for those essays, and I'm done with my history project. So basically I have to figure out my English presentation and that's pretty much it. I also got in some studying for physics, and we still have three more days here AND I've been to the beach/pool several times. I miss home though. I always get bored here. Today was my dad's birthday. We went out for lunch and made a cake. It rained. Actually it rained some yesterday too. Blehh. I read Running with Scissors today. It was FABBY and everyone should read it. The end. Mood: bored
